Full-Stack JavaScript Developer (Paid Internship)

We're seeking a Full-Stack JavaScript Developer Intern to join our small team in Vancouver, BC. This is a full-time, fixed-duration internship beginning in January 2024. This is a hybrid-work opportunity that requires you to work from our office in downtown Vancouver for at least 3 days per week.

Role

As a Full-Stack JavaScript Developer Intern, you'll work on one or more projects with our lead developer on both frontend and backend web and/or mobile applications.

This role is ideal for entry-level developers who feel confident in their JavaScript-based framework abilities and want to learn from a professional development team for the duration of their internship.

The ideal candidate is confident with using JavaScript and TypeScript, and has familiarity with the following frameworks and technologies:

• React
• NextJS
• NodeJS
• Git

Familiarity with the following languages, frameworks, and technologies are not required but are considered to be bonus qualifications:

• React Native
• SQL
• Docker

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in school studying a related field
• Be available to work business hours during the term of the internship (9-5, Monday to Friday)
• Must be a Canadian citizen, a Canadian permanent resident (PR), or have valid refugee status in Canada
• Have legal authorization to work in Canada
• Reside in British Columbia and be able to commute to our office in downtown Vancouver for at least 3 days per week

Process

Selected applicants will be invited to a virtual interview. Successful candidates who pass the interview round may be asked to complete a small take-home assignment to further asses their technical problem-solving skills.

Compensation

This is a paid internship opportunity with a salary of $26/hr.
