Director of Product Management for Email Security

The Opportunity

The Director of Product Management for Email Security will be the single authority and product owner of Abnormal Security’s email security product. This role is a critical part in shaping Abnormal’s future. You will be fully responsible for defining the ICES roadmap and scope based on concrete customer needs.

On a typical day, you may proactively conduct ICES customer development interviews, synthesize interview findings into meaningful, actionable insights, organizes insights into an always-current prioritized backlog, representing the current state of Abnormal’s perspective on what the market needs, and drive program and project execution with development teams.

The Team

You will be one of the leaders of the Engineering Product Design (EPD) organization. You will report to the Chief Product Officer, and work closely with the Chief Technology Officer other leaders on the product, engineering, and goto market sides.

What You’ll Do

• Be fully responsible for defining the ICES roadmap and scope, without overly indexing on any one intake channel for feature development, instead balancing and weighting the channels appropriately
• Have an ownership mentality on ICES product execution
• Collaborate with go to market teams on successfully launching releases 4x per year
• Drive program and project management excellence for all ICES
• Proactively conduct ICES customer development interviews
• Synthesize interview findings into meaningful, actionable insights
• Organizes insights into an always-current prioritized backlog, representing the current state of Abnormal’s perspective on what the market needs
• Publish and maintain ICES roadmap on a 6 quarter rolling basis
• Properly vet every product decision, balancing the needs of customers with the limited resources at Abnormal for the optimal outcome
• Be a partner in technical decisions with engineering
