Software Engineer - New Product

The Opportunity

We are looking for a key member of the engineering team for the newest cybersecurity unicorn company to join the Security Awareness Training (SAT) group. The Security Awareness Training group is a new part of the Email Security Products organization and is responsible for taking Abnormal’s SAT product offering from 0 to 1.

In this role, you will be the founding engineer of the Security Awareness Training team and responsible for taking the SAT product from 0 to 1 and beyond, including working closely with PM’s, designers, and engineering leaders to deliver company-wide OKRs, and to play a critical role in determining SAT strategy and roadmap.

What you’ll do:

• Own the technical design and execution of the SAT product to delight customers and meet objectives
• Work with engineers, EM’s, designers, and PM’s to deliver on the SAT product roadmap and meet company-wide objectives.
• Provide feedback and insight to inform improved delivery of projects, OKRs, and tech roadmaps
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices for the SAT team

Experience you’ll need:

• Experience as a full stack engineer who has worked at scale and taken products from 0 to 1
• Experience partnering with engineers, EMs, designers, and PMs to deliver high quality product features

• Experience with our technical stack

  • React, HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Django/Python or Go
  • Databases and schema design

• Experience as tech lead for a product engineering team

  • Plus, if there is experience taking an idea to a finished product
  • Plus, if there is experience with Security Awareness Training products (i.e. Gophish)

• Enterprise SaaS/ Cybersecurity background a plus
