Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary Chief Design Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our future. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead our design efforts, creating intuitive and captivating user experiences that set new industry standards. Our unique compensation package includes equity, offering you a stake in our vision. We ask for a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week. Furthermore, upon the anticipated closing of our fundraising round or when our sales generate sufficient cash flow, you can expect not only revenue share but also a competitive salary. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a culture of design excellence, setting new industry standards for user experience and aesthetics.
  • Provide a clear and compelling design vision aligned with MoodMe's overarching objectives and market positioning.
  • Champion a user-centric approach, utilizing user research and feedback analysis to guide resonant design decisions.
  • Oversee end-to-end design, covering both front-end and back-end design for web and mobile applications.
  • Attract, hire, lead, and mentor a high-performing design team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and commitment to core values.
  • Stay updated on design trends and emerging technologies to guide MoodMe's innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for a cohesive design approach.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in senior design leadership, a strong portfolio with a minimum of 6 years of creative and strategic work.
  • Expertise in both UI and UX design, including wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Familiarity with MoodMe's industry, market, and competitors, and understanding of the global technology landscape.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools.
  • Strong communication skills to convey design concepts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and align design strategies with business objectives.
  • Visionary mindset, eager to innovate and drive MoodMe's design culture forward.
  • Outstanding attention to detail while maintaining high-quality standards and delivering results swiftly.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to prioritize and manage tasks and projects efficiently.
  • An empathetic, collaborative, and adaptable leader with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing design team towards remarkable results.
