Due to continued growth, Trusteer Financial is expanding our team and is seeking a strong Accounting Manager with a lot of room for growth and interest in expanding their technical skills. This role is HYBRID in the office and remote. Reporting directly to a Senior Manager and Partners, the role's main duties and responsibilities include the following:
Responsibilities
• Work directly with clients to identify and address accounting and finance needs.
• Own client relationships throughout entire engagement lifecycle:
• Set up new accounting systems and implement accounting procedures.
• Restructure and improve any pre-existing client financials.
• Manage monthly close process and oversee financial statement generation.
• Regularly interface with company founders, CEOs and CFOs.
• Prepare client financials for audits, investor due diligence, board presentations, management reporting, etc.
• Gain deep understanding of client operations/strategy to regularly provide additional value.
• Lead and develop Associates to execute client deliverables and grow professionally.
• Effectively and clearly communicate with clients and coworkers across various channels.
• Support Senior Leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor degree (ideally in finance and/or accounting) with cumulative GPA of 3.3/4.0.
• Highly proficient in Quickbooks, Xero and Excel.
• Familiarity with Bill.com, Expensify, Stripe, Shopify and Gusto.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Self-starter with the ability to identify and solve problems independently.
• Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable to new situations, including learning new software.
Desired Qualifications
• CPA prerequisites, QuickBooks Pro Advisor, and/or Xero Certification.
• Experience in client-facing, deadline-driven roles.
• Previous experience in startup environments.
• Exposure to various technology industry verticals (e-commerce, software, fintech, etc.).
