We are looking for a VP of Software Engineering to lead our software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the velocity of the engineering team, the design and quality of the engineered product, and meeting the expectations of both internal and external customers. You will hire, scale, and develop a team capable of executing on product strategies and in alignment with a dynamic product roadmap. You will build and foster a culture of engineering excellence and accountability capable of producing best-in-class engineering products with a focus on teamwork, inclusion, and agility.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Structure and lead teams, individuals, and cross-functional relationships in a way that ensures productivity and communication.
Help the executive team deliver upon challenging but achievable goals and set the vision, strategy and plan for the future of companys Engineering philosophy.
Balance a vision for infrastructure and systems with a medium term roadmap and near-term execution plan.
Drive modern engineering principles and practices by implementing relevant techniques, processes, and best practices
Set aggressive but achievable timelines and targets for Engineering (in conjunction with adjacent functions, including product, design, and data) and help teams hit them.
Structure, mentor and organize a team of over 25 engineers to align with the strategic objectives of the company and execute the product roadmap efficiently
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate plans and projects to both senior level executives and more junior team members; in addition to representing the team in a variety of scenarios: Company meetings; exec meetings; strategic partnerships; and product direction discussions.

WHO YOU ARE
6+ years of experience as a technology leader with a proven track record of leading Engineering teams, with a minimum of 5 years in a broad technical leadership role
Proven leadership experience as a VP of Engineering or similar leadership role, leading a geographically distributed engineering team
Able to rapidly identify, communicate, and drive to resolution of issues with multiple teams, leaders, and business stakeholders
Have expertise with modern, large-scale data engineering using cloud native architectures
Have experience with mobile and device development and internationalization
Have led an Agile software development organization
Possess knowledge of security practices and systems required to manage sensitive personal data
Have experience in a public-company environment
Can demonstrate a track record of effectively aligning engineering practices with organizational strategy to deliver business results
Have demonstrated a history of leadership with the ability to drive the recruitment, development, and performance of a world-class distributed engineering team
