Web Development Intern (Front-End & Full-Stack)
The Verse is seeking a Web Development Intern to build, optimize, and scale our web infrastructure—from high-converting landing pages to full-stack platforms that power our digital therapeutics ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Front-End & UX: Build responsive website architectures, design user interactions, and launch A/B testing landing pages to validate messaging and product-market fit.
Full-Stack & APIs: Design custom APIs and integrate backend algorithms for user profiles, recommendation engines, event tracking, and automated email/nudge systems.
Database & Infrastructure: Create and manage databases (SQL/PostgreSQL) to handle user data, transaction queries, and notification backends.

Qualifications & Tech Stack

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and Linux environments.
• Mindset: Eager to wear multiple startup hats and collaborate closely with designers, product leads, and analytics teams.

The Verse builds three transformative game worlds that use play to improve wellbeing and human connection.

• WalkXR is an immersive Unreal Engine platform that turns real human challenges into embodied gameplay through storytelling, emotional-regulation mechanics, and ritual-based interaction, with themed “walks” like Power of Music, Diabetes Journey, and Bridging Differences.
• Adventures in Breath introduces a new genre of breath-powered play, where players use breathing and humming to explore the magical world of Harmonia, regulate their nervous systems, and unlock sonic abilities.
• Karma: The Six Realm Game is a choice-based prosocial RPG that rewards empathy, cooperation, and compassion, inviting players to grow by building relationships, repairing conflict, and using kindness as a core game mechanic.
