Lead Engineer

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, mission-driven full stack engineer to join the founding team at HealthHelper. The company was recently started by two founders, one’s a PCP and the other recently had a successful exit via the sale of his patient engagement company to a strategic acquirer. We’ve compiled an experienced team of advisors with decades of healthcare technology entrepreneurship experience and deep relationships in the healthcare technology industry (eg, meaningful connections with all of the major electronic medical record companies and the related ecosystem) and healthcare and tech investment community.

This role will be the technical lead in a multidisciplinary team responsible for HealthHelper’s entire product development life cycle - from conception to deployment. As we search for the right person to join our team, we are looking for:

Required:

• An entrepreneurial and mission-driven mindset
• Skilled at using agile approaches to co-develop prototypes with users, customers, and product leaders
• Experience taking a functional prototype and building it into a commercial-grade, cloud-native, scalable solution.
• You love diving deep into the architecture of the software and thinking strategically about the system’s design.
• Experience building customer engagement solutions (e.g. contact center technology, CPaaS, chat bots, marketing software, CRMs, etc.)
• Demonstrated skill at both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries*
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Comfort with services oriented architectures, API integrations, and machine learning/NLP concepts
• A team player with a knack for visual design and utility
• Experience in complex domains and systems

Desired

• Experience working with healthcare IT systems, such as electronic medical records, practice management systems, or patient outreach and communication systems
• Expertise in customer communication systems such as CPaaS (e.g. Twilio), chatbot development platforms (e.g. Google Dialogflow, Amazon Lex), and/or contact center technologies (e.g. Genesys, Cisco)
• Expertise in machine learning and NLP, and an understanding of the technologies and development approaches in NLP space
• 5+ years of development experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as a startup or innovative technology company
