A leading cryptocurrency financial platform built by a group of Wall Street quant trading veterans is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our New York office. The Data Engineer will collect and transform data across the firm’s different business lines and build data pipelines to automate the data extract, transform, load (“ETL”) process.

Key Responsibilities
Collect and transform data across the firm’s different business lines
Build data pipelines to automate the data ETL process. Build data warehouses to store heterogeneous data and develop tools to improve query performance
Analyze business results and prepare reports to support the firm’s decision making
Create dashboards for monitoring the data pipeline’s performance and health and key business performance metrics
Requirements
- 3 years or more years of professional experience
- Advanced working experience with SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with NoSQL databases is preferred but not required
- Coding experience with at least one statistical language: R, Python, Julia, etc
- Good scripting skills to run quick data checks and build data pipelines
- Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques
- Ability to work with large datasets and complex data formats
- Experience with data visualization tools and presenting results for stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, statistics, physics, or related major
