AscendEX.com is seeking a full-time Accountant / Fund Administrator to assist the buildout and enhancement of the Company’s cash management functions, including accounts payable and receivables. These functions are a key aspect of the Company’s financial stability, and this role provides the opportunity to deploy treasury best practices in a fast-growing sector. Additionally, familiarity with buildouts of fund management processes is a plus. The individual should have 3+ years of professional experience in accounting or cash management functions in the financial sector or within start-ups.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cash management processes including reviewing A/R, A/P, and maintaining appropriate records
- Analyze cash usage and project short- and long-term cash flow analyses
- Apply risk-minded approach in structuring A/R and A/P reconciliation processes with an emphasis towards digital assets
- Develop reconciliation processes for cash accounts
- Prepare payments in fiat and digital assets and work with the business in reviewing invoicing
- Perform fund admin related activities including processing trades, payments, shareholder registers and various investor files
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the financial service industry or equivalent experience in a startup in the Treasury and/or cash management field
- Strong knowledge of accounting, cash flow analysis, and cash reconciliation with proven attention to details
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, business or other advanced degree from reputable institutions
- A professional accounting such as CPA designation is preferred but not required. A CFA or FRM is also highly valued
- Strong analytical mind-set, structured approach and attention to details and accuracy with excellent problem-solving abilities & devising solutions with knowledge of digital asset trading or capital markets is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and teamwork
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
