Who We Are
Pretzel Kids is a one-stop shop for kids yoga. Our business is fueled by our subscription-based, branded platform empowering members to teach our licensed yoga and mindfulness classes in their communities and online.
Since launching our web platform in late fall 2019, we've added teachers nationwide and are growing a brand centered around the success of our instructors. When our Pretzel Kids teachers succeed, so do the kids, schools and families they serve.
We’re seeking a Head of Business Development & Community Engagement/Founding Team Member to help execute upon our vision for our customer acquisition, sales and community engagement.
Who You Are
Our ideal person will identify a pipeline of potential partnership opportunities, build relationships, and help orchestrate agreements. Partners could include yoga studios, gyms, educational institutions, wellness apps, and more. You will also help develop and execute upon a strategy to attract and bring in new teachers nationwide.
In addition, you’ll take our existing online member community and turn it into an invaluable resource to retain members and attract new teachers.
In a nutshell: We're an early-stage startup, which means you'll have your hands in lots of recipes and you’ll be instrumental in helping us scale.

*What You’ll Do *
- Build and grow a pipeline of high-potential partners. Own those relationships from initial discovery to contract negotiations to launch.
- Develop innovative teacher recruitment strategies, and then execute.
- Work with the marketing team on SEO strategies as well as social media growth and targeted ads.
- Dial into data to determine what’s working and what’s not. Interview members to gain insight into what we can improve upon.
- Take ownership of an affiliate program.
- Lead community engagement across all channels.
- Develop and manage sales forecasting.
- Work with our founder on identifying potential edtech and health/wellness investors.
- Create an ambassador program and take charge of this.
You Bring the Following to the Table (or Mat!)
- You have experience diving into data analytics and you’ve used customer data to drive a brand growth strategy.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, managing online communities, advertising, brand management, and customer growth.
- A LOVE of wellness and an added plus if you’re a yoga or fitness enthusiast and/or instructor.
- You want to work with a growing edtech and children’s fitness/yoga company.
- You get pumped up about working with an early stage start-up
- You’ve worked with lots of different software and tech tools including: WordPress, Trello, ConvertKit, Woo Commerce, Circle.so, LinkedIn, Printful.com, Google My Business. You’re also comfortable being in meetings to discuss custom tech and design features with our engineer. Excellent communications skills.
