Software Engineer

Your Future Role

As a software engineer at VAY, you will be immersed in an early-stage start-up. This means you can have a big impact on an evolving product. This comes with responsibility, so be prepared for that. You will align closely with our software architects and CTO, and you’re expected to challenge them when you believe you have better ideas on how to improve and extend our products.

Your main responsibilities, depending on your strong suits, include the following:
➢ Software engineering on the server side
➢ Set up & manage infrastructure
➢ DevOps, (Version control, CI/CD)
➢ Quality assurance

Your Skills & Abilities
➢ Analytical capacity with great attention to detail and capability of explaining concepts
➢ Hands-on coding experience in a subset of industry standard languages
(Python/C#/C++/Java)
➢ Ability to think and execute autonomously, and a high degree of self-motivation
➢ Strong knowledge of engineering best practices
➢ Ideally should be comfortable interacting with & supporting clients as needed
➢ Fluency in English or German
➢ Fast learner with an ability to quickly adapt to new situations
➢ High level of openness, flexibility, curiosity, aspiration and, independence
➢ Don’t take everything too seriously!
