About the Role
We are seeking an Field Application Scientist to:
- Facilitate the capabilities of our growing customer base as a subject matter expert in the acquisition and analysis of MIBI data to advance their research and enable new discoveries with high-definition spatial proteomics.
- Understand the research objectives of our customers, resolve any bottlenecks and identify new capabilities to ensure their success.
- Assist during MIBIscope installation and train new users on tissue staining, image acquisition, and data processing.
- Work with the sales team to provide pre-sales technical seminars and scientific consultation.
About You
You are a seasoned FAS with experience with imaging systems and multiplexed data analysis. You enjoy working with next-gen technology and want to be part of enabling researchers to answer big, complex scientific questions. You’re collaborative, have proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer challenges, enjoy pushing the boundaries of science, and are able to take initiative and work independently. You have presented at scientific conferences, company user meetings and participated in pre-sales activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct post-installation training for Ionpath customers.
- Provide on-going customer support to produce high-quality data consistently.
- Participate in pre-sales prospect meetings and provide MIBI technical seminars.
- Work with internal teams to build application notes based on customer feedback and market needs.
- Provide user feedback on instrument operation, workflow, reagents, software tools, and overall customer experience to product management to continually improve the MIBIscope System.
Requirements
- M.S. in biological sciences or related fields, Ph.D. preferred.
- 2-3+ years of experience working with imaging tools and multiplexed data analysis.
- Working knowledge of IHC, FACS, ELISA or other antibody-dependent assays.
- Experience working in application areas such as immuno-oncology and neuroscience are preferred.
- Experience as a Field Application Scientist supporting customer success and presenting technology and its use in scientific applications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Travel up to 30%.
Education
- BS/MS in biological sciences, Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience in oncology research approaches and imaging technologies, immuno-histochemistry preferred.
- Experience in mass spectrometry preferred.
