We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist who is passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and a world-class team to tackle some of today's most pressing biological questions.
About you
You are a seasoned data scientist with proven success working in research and/or clinical environments. You work cross-functionally with laboratory and engineering teams to design and develop methods and workflows that deliver high-quality data and results to customers. You are skilled at image and/or single-cell analysis, knowledgeable about software best practices, and equipped to collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You have a track record of developing successful bioinformatics tools and are excited to join a fast-growing startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop statistical and machine learning methods on tissue imaging and single-cell data.
- Closely collaborate with laboratory and engineering teams on design, troubleshooting, and execution.
- Present analyses and visualizations to scientists and physicians as part of research services partnerships.
- Scale IONpath's imaging and informatics platform to meet growing demands from pharma and academia.
- Participate in code reviews, issue tracking, unit testing and documentation.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the MIBIscope platform.
Qualifications and Background
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a bioinformatics or biomedical imaging industry role.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success delivering timely results to scientific and/or medical industry customers that exceed expectations.
- Strong working knowledge of statistics including machine learning.
- Proficiency with scientific computing in Python; familiarity with relational databases, C/C++, and/or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with digital pathology, immuno-oncology, and/or neuroscience is preferred.
