There are 1.5 billion cows in the world, and they are huge contributors to global warming. Methane emissions from cattle belching represent the carbon equivalent of the whole of the transport industry put together. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) predicts the demand for livestock products to rise by 70% by the year 2050. Due to the way it traps heat, methane is 85 times worse for global warming than carbon dioxide. ZELP stands for Zero Emissions Livestock Project. We are a platform that combines innovative patent-pending technology, a set of certification standards, and a network of producers and resellers, to significantly reduce the impact of livestock’s methane emissions.
