We are a fast-growing start-up (set to double in size within a year), and therefore have, by nature, new opportunities that are constantly being created. Our culture of initiative and autonomy is part of being a very horizontal company. There are currently 17 of us, and there are is only one level of management. We have a structure where each employee has a lot of freedom and little managerial control to encourage initiative. Beyond the structure, we try to do our best to keep our talent. For example, our first-ever employee follows an adjusted schedule because she is also a professional volleyball player, and two of our other employees have started working part-time to accommodate their studies.
