Yellowbird is built around the “learn, apply, graduate” loop: The learning component is a series of Smart Curriculums that allows the user to learn material important to their current life stage and motivations. The curriculums are built around course offerings that contain multiple 4–minute lessons. The content is structured so that it can be learned in small, bite-sized pieces with multiple interactive formats.

Once users have demonstrated a level of understanding, they then graduate and have access to working with financial institutions that best fit their needs and goals. This is the stage where financial institutions create relationships with the now quality leads produced by the Yellowbird platform.
