Our mission is to make the best mental health tools radically accessible for everyone. We are an early stage startup building Woebot, a chatbot that helps people regulate their moods and learn powerful therapeutic techniques to reduce their negative thoughts. Our bot uses scientifically proven techniques from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and is based on 9 years of clinical research psychology experience at Stanford University. In a randomized controlled trial, we demonstrated both user retention and clinical efficacy (reduction in depression symptoms in 2 weeks). At launch, we grew from 100 users to 50,000 users in just a week. We are preparing to grow to a truly global scale and are building the team that’s excited about leading us there.
