Wikifarmer is the first User Generated Online Farming Library. A community of engineers, professors, botanists, large and small scale farmers, beekeepers and amateur gardeners all have the same vision: To share their best farming practices and experiences so as to help each other all over the world. Apart from offering free access to knowledge to all farmers in the world, our company wants to also offer access to markets to them. For example, until today, a potential buyer cannot search for “Corn in Detroit” or “Fresh Tomatoes in Pretoria, South Africa”. If you google these searches, the index will return separate websites of single sellers. The buyer cannot compare prices, cannot see instantly who is closer, cannot read reviews of the producers, cannot make an informed decision on where to buy from.
