Food insecurity has been a persistent problem in the US and increased drastically when the pandemic hit. Upon peeling back the onion, you learn that food supply and availability is not the real challenge, but instead it's digital access to food. Unfortunately the organizations that distribute charitable food to individuals, food pantries, are far behind the technology curve and desperately need tools for their clients, people in need of food, to find them and connect with them. 75% of food pantries do not have an online presence. If you do find information about a pantry online, it's likely incomplete, stale and inaccurate. Simply put, it's really challenging for people to find the right food at the right time and place. This is the problem we set out to solve.
