Vectech is a for profit social enterprise working on public health and environmental health problems. We started in academia working on computer vision methods for mosquito species identification in 2016, and are currently working on the first set of products to use this technology in a way that is practical and affordable for public health organizations working to mitigate mosquito borne disease transmission in their region. Other work in development includes identification of other arthropod vectors for disease such as ticks, monitoring for invasive arthropod species and agriculture pests such as the spotted lantern fly, and more.
