Twile are planning to disrupt the online family history market - which is worth $2bn globally - by making it accessible and engaging for the whole family.

Twile is a digital timeline connected to a family tree that allows the user to display every event from their family’s history. It features photos, videos and milestones, such as birth, marriage, death and everything else in between – school, graduation, retirement, etc.

The family historian can add all of the milestones they know of for ancestors and upload scanned photos they’ve collected - then invite and share with the rest of the family, who can add their own milestones and photos.

Moving research out of dusty, black-and-white historical records and onto a visual, digital platform makes it much easier and more enjoyable to explore family history. And by encouraging living relatives to add their own milestones and recent photos, it ensures that every person’s memories are preserved forever.
