Culture and benefits at Whip Media

Culture overview

Look, the term "culture" has clearly been diluted by tech startups. It's lost its teeth, its raison d'être. (<-- Yes, we had to look up that spelling.) We feel strongly that clearly defining and then embodying our cultural principles is as important as building intuitive, valuable, and scalable products. That's because we believe that culture is a lot more than office perks and social events. It represents and informs: - What is important to us - How we interact with one another - What behavior we expect and won't tolerate - How we make decisions - What impact we aspire to have on our users, customers, and the universe Though our culture evolved with every additional person we hire, we have together developed six Cultural Tenets that we feel represent who we are. More detail below...
Perks and benefits

Healthcare benefits

We take care of you. Medical, dental, and vision. If you're not healthy, neither is our company.

401k program

We've got one and we love it. It's not matching yet, but we're working toward it.

Parental leave

We offer a three-month maternity leave and a flexible schedule for working parents.

Flexible work hours

As long as you're in the office or available during core work hours, we'll work with whatever schedule allows you to be the most productive.

Equity benefits

Everyone in the company is a part-owner.

Untracked pto

We don't track vacation days, which means you can take as much as you like, as long as you're completing your deliverables. No more "use it or lose it" vacation days madness.

Dog friendly

We're pawsitively mutts about having furry friends join us in the office every day. (sorry)

Professional development

We invest in you, so we can participate in the benefits of your growth.

Pop culture culture

Do you like the idea of talking about TV shows and movies all day long? If so, this is the place for you, my friend.

Ceo with proven success

Our CEO has been the CEO of three public companies. He sold MySpace to Fox and took his last company public four years after founding it at a $2B valuation. And he's about the friendliest guy you'll ever meet.
