Partial tendon tear is a major clinical unmet need. These injuries are extremely prevalent, especially among athletes and active individuals, as their attachments to bones are damaged and torn away. Conservative treatments such as steroids, NSAIDs, or plasmas are available but have not proven effective in restoring tendon function or pain in the long term. Repairs involve a trip to the operating room, and thus doctors are reluctant to operate on partial tears.

Trace Orthopedics offers a new, minimally invasive procedure by utilizing the interior space of a needle to accommodate a specially designed screw and wire coil implant. We are pioneering soft tissue-to-bone fixation without an incision and using only local anesthetic and conscious sedation. Our device will quickly repair these injuries using imaging guidance through a percutaneous needle, eliminating the need for costly or debilitating surgeries.
