1. Pretinas Sangma, Shillong Pretinas is an active Saarthi user from the last 1 years, she is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Arts and as a student she is very active and independent, from staying hostels to walking independently on streets. She was provided the device when she was a school student in class XII and she has been using the device as her companion since then. Pretinas shares her experiences and encounters from her days before and after Saarthi where she tells that because coming from a traditional Meghalayan semi urban setup she used to face a lot of trouble in walking in hilly areas as she has to consider elevation, roadblocks, vehicles and other indoor hurdles but now since she has developed confidence within her and from help of Saarthi device she walks independently and more than that goes out of the way to train other to live independently too. 2. Isaxon Chirra, Kenya Professor Isaxon teaches at the University in Nairobi and is a hardcore diversity & inclusion activist, he has been using the Saarthi device for the last couple of months and is very happy with the freedom it has offered to his day to day life. He says he enjoys the stroll on the beach and walks independently in the university campus which has made her life more adventurous and interesting as he doesn’t have to depend on his family or students to guide him for navigation.
