Torch careers

Torch was created in 2017 by a leadership coach and therapist, Cameron Yarbrough, and Keegan Walden, Ph.D., a psychologist with a background in behavioral science.

The two met in graduate school and reconnected to build their leadership coaching practice. Based in Silicon Valley, they coached CEOs and founders like Steve Huffman (Reddit Co-founder + CEO), Justin Kan (Founder of Twitch), and Garry Tan (Co-founder of Initialized Capital + former partner at Y Combinator).

Eventually, their clients began asking Yarbrough and Walden to coach other senior leaders across their companies. That’s when the idea for Torch was born.

To scale, Cam expanded their network of rigorously vetted coaches and built out their groundbreaking idea – a scalable leadership development software platform to enhance the personalized coaching experience.

Today, we focus on helping organizations build, manage, and measure L&D programs quickly and at scale. We strive to help organizations with their people strategies while increasing productivity & efficiency, identify & measure strategic investments, and retain & grow employees.

To date, Torch has coached over 1,500 leaders across over 250 companies and recently locked in our Series B funding led by Obvious Ventures as of February 2021.
