The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation is an independent, non-profit research and development institute. We are committed to creating a financially inclusive world, with an interdisciplinary approach in impact investing. The GCRI catalyzes finance and technology to deliver sustainable solutions at scale for the 3 billion people who are left out of — or poorly served by — the financial sector.

We are a distributed resource and decentralized network of economists, thinkers, financiers, engineers and innovators to create capacity building for knowledge exchange and sustainable alternative models. The GCRI is a unique and ambitious hub where the academia meets and engages the grassroots, the industry, and the government to participate in a public discourse and make smarter decisions.

Connecting the policy dots across all levels and branches of governments, the GCRI keeps members informed and empowered to create a constructive public policy environment that best supports innovators in advancing their missions. As a network of independent players, we are focused on the social and cultural issues and opportunities arising from financial evolution and innovative disruptions such as data-centric applications and automated technologies.

Working with and through the largest global network of nonprofits and community leaders, we identify emerging trends, share proven practices, and promote solutions that benefit communities they serve. Our approach is collective yet decentralized, driven by the principle of self-governance and a rigorous use of evidence, disruptive technology and power of the people.
