The Barell: Bunkering On-Demand careers

The Barell is a digital platform to help shipowners source marine fuelling services directly from the suppliers in the port, just like Uber helps passengers to connect with drivers in Transport.

Fuelling (bunkering) is a critical part of ship operations, eating up to 80% of their OpEx. 
However, shipowners overpay for fuelling due to middlemen in the supply chain and inefficient manual operations associated with each bunker transaction.

The Barell helps to:

- improve fuel sourcing and quality assurance by giving shipowners the Marketplace with direct access to physical suppliers;
- minimise paperwork and digitalise operations on all stages: contracting, dispatching and delivering the bunker parcel;
- provide reporting and analytics to help our users optimise their bunkering processes.
