I have the privilege of working with people from Portugal and France. Meetings take place in both countries, sometimes in person, sometimes remotely. In Portugal, the French language is not used much, at least until now, and the French also show a lot of difficulty when confronted with the Portuguese language. Plus, I must confess that I myself find myself struggling with the French language. The cultures of the two countries are quite different, and that is precisely where the wealth lies. This means that the team is made up individuals with distinct cultures, backgrounds and skills, and this results in greater critical thinking abilities and quality of work. I admit that the rigorous recruitment process has secured highly skilled professionals and very well prepared for this experience, sure, but what stands out most is unwavering positivity and productivity of team. I took a bit of time to adjust the way we work together at the beginning of our collaboration but founder, who has dual nationality, stepped in to beef up the team and she has been proactive in addressing any issues that arise. But it is these and other difficulties obstacles that help create a effective team that can overcome obstacles.
