GlobalGiving is an online marketplace that allows donors to find and fund grassroots projects that appeal to their specific interests. Most of the projects found on GlobalGiving are located in developing countries. Projects are sorted by topic or location; they can range from Disaster Recovery and Clean Water to the AIDS Epidemic. Projects are referred to GlobalGiving through their network of Project Sponsors - the network ensures reputability of the projects and can provide references for projects' work. The way it works is quite simple: Project Leaders post their causes and details about what they need on GlobalGiving.com; users can browse through the individual needs of each project to see what is being done. They are then free to donate to any number of projects. GlobalGiving claims to have 85 to 90% donation is on-the-ground within 60 days, aiming for an immediate impact. As expected, the donations made are tax-deductible. Perhaps one of most important points of GlobalGiving is that the money donated goes to a well-defined project versus general operating expenses. Microfinance start-up Kiva.org is very similar in mission along with the Causes Facebook application.

COP 26, COP 27, COP 40 etc. Really? It's time to ACT! In a money driven system the most important factor for societal impact is MONEY! How much is shifted? How fast? In what direction? and by whom? If you think about it, the connected consumer can shift the most money, the fastest, in a sustainable direction and democratically - right? The connected consumer could impact all stakeholders "overnight" in a sustainable direction. ACT is a mobile marketplace of marketplaces and a data gathering tool that helps all of us gather data so that we can all make a free and informed decision to buy tomato A over tomato B because it is produced in a way that emits the least CO2. ACT is an answer to the craving for action against the climate crisis. Coordinate your and your network's combined purchasing power towards the producers that emits the least CO2 with just a few clicks in the app and join us in the quest against global warming! It's simple and convenient: make a shopping list, optimize it for the environment and/or price (or vegan, organic etc.), navigate inside the shop, pay via mobile and check-out in 3 sec. ACT is a high-tech solution scalable to extreme-scale with no bottlenecks both in terms of data gathering and shop integration, making global collaboration around sustainable shopping a fact. With the ACT app, we can unite and change the course of history - starting today. Join ACT - work with us to market the most hands-on solution to mitigate global warming. Become an ACT developer - develop a high-tech, infinitely scalable, SOA backend and mobile app system. Go to aacctt.org/careers. Invest in ACT - invest in a company with unicorn/decacorn potential in 4-8 years. Reach out to Thomas Jepsen, CEO, linkedin.com/in/thomasjepsen and mention why you reach out.

Born out of the Stanford's Graduate School of Business in 2015, we are creating a global network of the most exceptional tech entrepreneurs. Every nation has a few game-changing entrepreneurs who create outsized value. We select the highest character, highest competency management teams leading the most scalable ventures. Because even the best entrepreneurs in emerging tech ecosystems lack access to the resources they need to scale, we match them with talent, expertise, and investments from the world’s most prolific entrepreneurial ecosystem - Silicon Valley. Our ventures scale-up to create thousands of new jobs and deliver essential products and services to millions of people, and our entrepreneurs become role models who lead the transformation of their own national ecosystems.
