Technology affects us profoundly- disrupting careers, industries, politics, life. Hype driven news and events dominate technological discourse without little understanding of the whole technological system. We want to make technology comprehensible, somewhat like Google made the web comprehensible. We understand technological decision making in some of the largest corporations. These decisions affect hundreds of thousand people and billions of dollars. Yet, top executives are forced to make these decisions without any quantitative, systemic understanding of technology. In some cases, unjustified hype, expert bias (technologists are often over-optimistic about technologies, accountants very pessimistic) or lack of consensus due to insufficient data can lead to non-optimum decisions. We can help everyone who makes technological decisions (and *everyone* makes tech decisions now), decide better.
