Our mission is to create an online marketplace community where jewelry designers from around the globe can effortlessly sell contemporary and handmade jewelry and buyers can conveniently buy jewelry through the use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology. In 2016, an article by Bloomberg shed light on the Euromonitor Data, which revealed that the jewelry industry is worth $310 billion and is expected to grow at 5% a year by 2020. With such promising numbers, lie deep-rooted problems which further needs to be addressed. Contemporary or handmade jewelry is widely accepted and is seen as an expression of individuality and has been praised by the fashion critics. In the current business world where different aspects of a business like social media, digital marketing, networking events, are a major thing, small and medium-sized contemporary jewelry designers often struggle to update themselves with these terms. This is because, in this branch of jewelry designing, designers are often the manufacturers, therefore they have to do the distribution, retailing, and all the other tasks by themselves. This, in turn, results in less focus on their core competencies i.e. designing. Moreover, due to the commercialization of the jewelry designs, handmade or contemporary jewelry designers often struggle to reach a wide target audience. Therefore, there is a need to elevate such designers, whose art speaks many different languages and tell various stories. On the other hand, people are looking for something different and unique, which speaks to them at a personal level. Indian Jewelry market is being dominated by few monopolies for years and its effect is being reflected in survey results where more than 60% of the women said that they find it difficult to find a wide variety of designs. In contrary, women also find it difficult to shop jewelry online as they do not know how the jewelry would look on them, or whether it would suit their skin color.
