Data-Tamer resolves one of the most difficult challenges faced by major enterprise companies today, how to broadly integrate and curate many existing and future data sources efficiently at scale. Our cutting-edge product is the World’s first integrated end-to-end system for automating the data curation process, enabling Big Data analytics. Data-Tamer was Co-Founded in the Fall of 2012 by Dr. Mike Stonebraker (CTO) and Andy Palmer (CEO), both were co-founders and former executives of Vertica (acquired by HP in ‘08). Data-Tamer is headquartered in Cambridge, MA, and is based on research conducted at M.I.T., Brandeis, and Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI). We are funded by Google Ventures, NEA as well as several high-profile angel investors and we already have active beta’s with 3 Fortune 500 companies. Data-Tamer is the first general purpose data curation product to automate all the critical tasks to discover, cleanse, transform, and integrate all of your data sources using a single system. Most data curation tools require extensive human involvement in the curation process, rendering them unable to scale to the number of data sources and amount of data required in today’s enterprises. Data-Tamer provides scalable curation by automating as much of the process as possible, calling on human assistance only when machine learning and statistical algorithms are unable to make decisions. Data-Tamer reduces costs of integrating, cleaning, and transforming data: * Enables enterprises to break the scalability barrier, thereby supporting curation of multitudes of enterprise data, whether in spreadsheets, in databases or on the web. * Enables incremental curation as data sources are added or removed. Continues to deliver on your curation investment by automatically applying learned knowledge to future data curation thus optimizing decisions with lower cost. * Contains an innovative expert-sourcing component to ask appropriate enterprise experts, when -automatic algorithms require human assistance. * Data-T
