The root cause of major industrial accidents is very hard to trace and sometimes impossible to foresee and prevent. Stroma is a computer vision based work safety startup working to empower workers and managers in their journey to reach Zero Accident Vision with comprehensive, preventive and transparent analysis tools.

The International Labour Organization estimates that 2.3 million women and men around the world die due to work-related accidents or diseases every year; this corresponds to over 6000 deaths every single day. Worldwide, there are around 340 million occupational accidents and 160 million victims of work-related illnesses annually which cost countries 3.9% of their GDP.

We build accurate computer vision models to understand human physiology in industrial settings and stop preventable accidents with embedded devices deployed in factories. Our AI-based work safety software allows health & safety managers to observe accident risk levels for each employee in real-time for personal protective equipment compliance, fatigue and distraction detection, and ergonomics risk analysis.

Current solutions are trying to leverage existing CCTV cameras, which are adequate for some safety use cases, but not properly oriented to analyze anything more complex than PPE monitoring or people/asset tracking.

Our combined hardware/software approach can enable more advanced use cases such as ergonomic analysis, fatigue/distraction monitoring, and intervention (e.g. shutting down a production line when necessary), all with an edge processor that can keep data within the customer's four walls, rather than sent to the cloud.

With our ruggedized industrial design of our edge devices, we received the Red Dot Design Award 2022 and iF Design Award 2022, the world’s most prestigious awards in the design industry.
