Know before applying: # We are in-person and work from the office 4 days a week in the Mission district - this is non-negotiable. # Stream is an early stage startup - you will have unrivaled autonomy and ownership which will require you to make many assumptions and move fast under very little supervision/help/instructions; you are the product manager, engineer, data scientist, and at times sales, marketing and operations too. # We are not college drop-outs, we are in our 30s and value a reasonable work-life balance. That said, you will work more than the 9-5 and will be expected to rise to the occasion frequently. # About Stream: We are a YC S22 batch insurtech startup based in SF. We process medical documents for insurance, legal, and medical professionals, with customers ranging from SMBs to Enterprises. The Job: # As a backend software engineer you are expected to deploy to production on a daily basis, as well as help build the engineering culture and processes in a growing team. # Our tech stack is mostly serverless-based using AWS Lambdas and Fargate (python), with CDK and GitHub actions for CI/CD, DynamoDB and Redshift, and Svelte (typescript) + SST for our web applications. # We also leverage different LLMs, embedding models, as well as more traditional AI models, and having experience with them is a plus but not required.
