Duties and Responsibilities We utilise the Microsoft stack of technologies and develop our software using C# and the Microsoft.NET framework. Our web application follows the MVC (Model View Controller) software architectural pattern on which we deliver a rich browser based user experience empowered by JavaScript libraries (JQuery for example). Reporting to a Development Lead, you will work with the team in the design, development, testing and deployment of a large sized software product. You must be a self-starter and work on your own initiative and be able to lend your experience to progress individuals within the Development team. Required Skills • 4+ years’ commercial experience of enterprise software development. • Experience implementing and supporting multi-tier web applications on a Microsoft technology platform (SQL Server and IIS). • Experience of: o Microsoft .NET framework o C# o ASP.NET MVC o SQL Server Development o An ORM solution (nHibernate would be a significant advantage) o Object Oriented Programming and Design o Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (such as RequireJS, JQuery) • Experience of working with Brownfield / Greenfield development projects. • Able to design, implement and deliver high quality software solutions. Desired Skills • HTML / Razor views / CSS • Unit testing/dependency injection • Financial services experience beneficial, but not essential.
