What is Stanza Living?  Stanza Living is a technology-enabled, high-quality student accommodation concept which is seeking to disrupt the multi-billion-dollar student housing market by putting the student, as a consumer, at the heart of the product and service design, development and execution. From smart space planning in rooms to gamifying food, from creating common areas for engagement and community living to delivering reliable, predictable and standardized services to residents through back-end technology integration, Stanza is challenging the status quo when it comes to student community living.  At what stage is the Stanza business today? Stanza launched operations in 2017 and was the fastest hostel offering to hit 100% occupancy in the local market. Going forward, Stanza is embarking on an aggressive scale-up platform with the intention of becoming the largest specialised student housing and community living operator in the country. This year, we will continue to grow and fine-tune our offering in Delhi-NCR and also unlock several markets. Why do we think the Stanza business is exciting? The $14Bn student accommodation market in India has been a largely unorganized, fragmented market dominated by amateur, mom-and-pop operators. Quality standards from a product perspective have been abysmal and the idea of a standardized, reliable service concept has been non-existent. We, at Stanza, see a massive disruption opportunity in this industry. By creating a process-driven service framework, by innovating and internationalizing the product offerings and by leveraging technology as an enabler, we believe we could create a powerful, youth brand which could organize the student accommodation market in ways similar to how the Hiltons and Marriotts of the world transformed the hospitality space.
