You have the opportunity to develop relationships with social talent outside of the context of MCNs and YouTube. As a new platform, we can work with a significant proportion of YouTubers as we have no connection to YouTube; and hence, any MCNs contracts that bind them in. Ultimately, you can be part of a product that is part of the movement away from an advertising business model on YouTube to one that is not only more lucrative, but more beneficial for users too. Salary quoted is only for the first 6 months (contract initially). After this period, the view is for you to become permanent and at that point salary can be renegotiated with equity. Soapbox is currently on the "Media Stream" of the prestigious EF accelerator, whose startups last year raised on average more than any other European accelerator (Techstars included) at Demo Day.
