SESO was founded in 2019 by Michael Guirguis and Jordan Taylor who share a passion for agriculture and improving labor markets. Our team includes strategic investors and Tier-1 VCs including Founder's Fund and NFX. Pete Flint, Founder of Trulia and Managing Partner of NFX, serves as a board member. Michael brings years of experience in solving some of the most complex labor market challenges from his global work at McKinsey and policy work at the White House (Obama Administration). Michael's family operates an organic farm in Central California and he delivers organic produce boxes to the Bay Area team every Monday! He is currently a Fellow at Stanford Law School. Jordan was the first product hire at FBN, a $2BN AgTech unicorn, and has prior experience at Dropbox. Jordan grew up in Montana and spent his summers working on the family farm. He takes pride in his ability to empathize with farmers and effectively introduce technology solutions to meet their needs.
