The Segway personal transporter is a two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicle invented by Dean Kamen. Segway designs, develops, and manufactures personal electric transportation devices for consumers and businesses. It offers patrollers for law enforcement and private security agencies for patrol of indoor and outdoor environments; and wooded trails, construction sites, and city sidewalks. The company also offers self-balancing scooters with Bluetooth enabled remote control capability, and wheel scooters; personal robot and robotics mobility platforms; and accessories, such as hard cases, handlebar bags, universal cargo plates, lower cargo frames, smartphone holders with articulating mounts, and tablet holders with articulating mounts.
