58% of food produced for Canadians is lost or wasted every year! Yes, we waste more than we consume. Every day, businesses are throwing out good, edible food that they weren't able to sell. That's why we have created FoodRescue.ca. FoodRescue.ca connects businesses with surplus food to non-profits who need it. Food businesses of any type create their free account. When they have unsold food that needs to go, they simply plug the details into our system. A notification is generated for local non-profits. They see details and can select the donation if it's right for them. From there, the non-profit simply goes to pick up the food. It's that easy!
