Similar to a Sales Tax, SavedPlus lets users select a percentage (5%-20%) that is virtually added to each spending transaction. Once a week, SavedPlus automatically transfers the aggregated amount from the user's checking to user's savings account. This version of the application is free.
The premium version of the application, in addition to the basic functionality described above, lets the user define additional application parameters such as:
1.Splitting savings in multiple savings destinations - for instance 20% to IRA, 50% - to Savings, 30% - to kids 529 plan.
2.Select convenient transfer day(s)
3.Select maximum $ per each savings transaction
4.Allows multiple savings goals tracking
5. Use of financial calculators to help maximize the savings.
SavedPlus users save on average $350/mo. In 15 months since the launch of beta version, SavedPlus is now monitoring over $200M in transactions, and transferred over $2.5M to users' savings accounts at 65% retention rate.
