RockMass is a venture backed hardware startup that’s building the next generation of mining tech. We're a fast-moving tech company based in downtown Toronto that’s partnered with SOSV, HAX, and Offroad Robotics (Queen’s University). Our mission is to enable mines to operate cleaner and safer using automation and remote data collection. We’re tackling something that’s never been done before in a traditional industry that’s about to change dramatically. We are a multidisciplinary team of engineers, historians, developers, economists, and geologists from across Canada that have all moved to Toronto. We’re accountable and flexible. We value time spent in our office together and equally value taking time to explore our many interests outside of the office. We started RockMass from a Ph.D. research thesis at Queen’s University and a vision to change the way something has been done for decades. After three years of commercialisation, we are excited to be releasing our first commercial product. We are looking for teammates who are motivated to bring this technology to market at scale and start building our future product offerings.
