Company Reduce. Reuse. Grow. is a startup company founded at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, focusing on providing the most sustainable packaging solutions for consumers. Our first product is The Plantable Coffee Cup, a coffee cup which has native seeds embedded within the compostable paper based material of the cup. This cup allows consumers to personally go out within their communities to plant their consumer waste, or at the coffee shop or venue serving the cups, we offer a special bin to throw the cups in to allow us to later come in and collect these cups to take to reforestation locations. We are a company who loves the outdoors and who's main focus and philosophy revolves around enhancing our landscapes as well as the communities we live within. Vision and Upcoming Events We are applying to the Accelerator Program through Cal Poly’s CIE where we will be working in the Hot House over summer. We recently launched a successful Kickstarter Campaign where we raised over $21,000 and have received press from all around the world including Forbes, Today, Huffington Post, Fast Company along with over 60 other journals. We are looking to keep this traction as well as use this Accelerator opportunity to learn from some of the best mentors and resources here in California while growing our company. The Accelerator Program is from June 15-Sept 11 where we are aiming to launch a commercial version of the Plantable Coffee Cup as well as be able to scale it by the end presentation date of Sept 11, 2015.
