Raistone has created a patent-pending managed decentralized escrow system (MDES) for trading digital assets that eliminates the need for the intermediary to hold the asset and thereby eliminates the risk of catastrophic cyber theft from the digital transaction ecosystem. It also eliminates the need for risk mitigation measures like insurance and cold storage and their associated costs. It is an open, permissionless system that enables institutions to comply with KYC/AML/BSM without holding the asset in a custodial account. For banks and other financial institutions, it eliminates the need for currency reserves under Basel II, because the asset is not on their books. The system is asset-agnostic and applies to digital currencies, securities, smart contracts, policies, deeds and other assets. Raistone's solution applies to banks, exchanges, cross border payment and remittance companies and insurance companies and will redefine the cost/risk basis for global financial transactions.
