We’re on a mission to unlock untapped potential. The Moment Two-thirds of Americans will need postsecondary credentials by 2025 and 3.4 million youth are disconnected from the workforce. At the same time, there are 7 million unfilled jobs and tens of millions of jobs are on the line due to automation. We need a better workforce system. Evidence-base Demand-driven workforce systems are proven to be the most effective at generating low unemployment, high labor utilization, and strong economic competitiveness. Our Model We're building a digital pathway system to enable a more inclusive economy. We take a regional approach to align major employers and educators through workforce intelligence. We build career pathways through online training and public-private partnerships. Everything we do is targeted to elevate opportunity for low-income, minority, and disconnected youth. Progress Radius was founded through a Fulbright Research partnership with Gothenburg Center for Business & Society in Sweden. We got our start by developing virtual work-based learning pathways. Our virtual pathways modernize the “learn by doing” approach of apprenticeships, a centuries-old model that works. After achieving product-market fit, Radius is working to build and deploy virtual pathways across the education continuum. Recognizing the strengths of a regional approach, Radius is driving cross-sector partnerships in Charlotte as a regional test lab for pathway systems. We are working with Fortune 500 employers from major sectors, regional intermediaries (e.g. workforce boards), and the school system to make Charlotte into a best-in-class workforce system.
