Pound Cake careers

Pound Cake is a cosmetics company dedicating to uplifting and creating products for those most marginalized by the beauty world. We saw a problem with the lack of visibility of black, trans, fat and disabled persons and the lack of products created for darker skin individuals. As a Black and Latinx owned company, the latter hit home for us. People of color are not often considered when it comes to advertisements for and production of color cosmetics. This usually results in women with warmer to darker skin tones trying on products that look different on them than expected. That’s why we’re creating lipsticks that will look the same when applied to different skin tones and imagery/campaigns that display the beauty of all types of people.
