We are developing custom-designed parking meters equipped with onboard cameras as vision sensors, capable of automatically determining parking spot occupancy via computer algorithms. Our wirelessly connected and are completely off-grid, charged via solar cells incorporated into the meter’s body.

Our infrastructure allows motorist access to information regarding available parking spots in their vicinity through our parking app. Colored beacons incorporated into the meters will also communicate the status of the meters to passing traffic. The main advantage in this approach is that the spots can be temporarily reserved, upon selection through the app, for the amount of time it would take the motorist to arrive and park in the location. This would effectively be a smart and efficient traffic routing scheme, optimized through our A.I. and machine learning algorithms, cutting down on time spent looking for a spot and hence alleviating traffic congestion and reducing pollution.
