Who are we?

Porter is a digital travel companion, focused on helping users discover and book great hotels, through a proprietary recommender system.

What's the problem?

You might think hotel booking is a solved problem but, 43% of Brits spend more time planning their holiday than time away and 1 in 3 UK holidaymakers suffer from shoppers anxiety when booking a holiday. This is because existing travel booking platforms have taken a one size fits all approach, overwhelming users with too much choice and too much information.

We’re the only company building a truly personalised travel companion from the ground-up, focused on helping our members discover and book the right hotel thanks to our recommender system.

Our undelying magic

At Porter, we’re working to combine data and community to build an IP rich business that delivers a vastly improved user experience and encourages loyalty throughout. Unlike traditional online travel agents who present thousands of potential options, Porter curates a shortlist of top recommendations for each user. These can be augmented with additional proprietary insights and community sourced data, to give our members the confidence in their decisions. Further, we're building a companion that's with our users throughout their travel experience, not just at the point of booking.
