Around the world, half of the medicines prescribed are not taken as they should. In the US, this results in 125.000 deaths per year and $290B in avoidable costs to the healthcare system. Medication non-adherence is responsible for a big number of hospitalizations, physician office visits and emergency room visits.
We investigated this problem deeply, and came up with a comprehensive solution for it:

- 69% of patients are non-adherent due to forgetfulness and procrastination: we developed a smart pill dispenser that alerts the user when it's time to take his medicines, and also tracks if they are taken. It can be connected to a smartphone or tablet, to provide relevant alarms, to keep track of medication intake, to setup automatic refills in the nearest pharmacy, or even to allow a family member or health professional to receive a notification if the medicines are not taken.
